Update to Trump Era Newcomers
Until I understand this EU Cookie law better I will leave Google's complimentary notice that this blog uses Blogger and Google cookies. These include Google Analytics and AdSense cookies.
Also, I feel that I should warn that this blog was started in the style of and in response to the toxic commentary of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. I don't mince words and the people who cannot see common sense in my words or are deliberately uninformed may not like the way I express myself. I moderate comments because I have had stalkers that posted filth in response to my religion. I'm not afraid to post conflicting opinion comments but I filter threats and inappropriate language comments.
This comes in response to the Trump Era. May it be shorter than 4 years. =)

Obama To Do 'Daily Show' With Jon Stewart In Advance Of Rally, Election
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is taking his campaign message to "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart.
White House spokesman Dan Pfeiffer says Obama is taping an appearance on Oct. 27, just days before the Nov. 2 elections. Stewart is coming to Washington next week for the "Rally to Restore Sanity" he is holding three days later on Saturday, Oct. 30, on the National Mall.
The host of the Comedy Central show says the rally is for people who think the loudest voices shouldn't be the only ones people hear.
Obama recently endorsed Stewart's event. It will be Obama's first appearance as president on Stewart's program.
(This version CORRECTS that it will be Obama's first appearance as president on "The Daily Show." )

LDS church makes position clear on same sex marriage and bullying.
I wish that this statement would have been made LONG ago. It's not new, it's ALWAYS been the church's position. I understand that non-members may not have been aware of it, but for members it should never have needed to be made.
I would also like to point out that this has been MY opinion all along and also President Obama's
This is an article that talks about the interviews I saw. I can't find them in anything more that a sound bite:
The Democratic Presidential candidate appeared on MTV this weekend to come out against California's Proposition 8, which would overturn gay marriage in the Golden State. At the same time, however, Obama reiterated his belief that marriage is between a man and a woman. Said the Senator from Illinois:
I've stated my opposition to this. I think [Prop 8 is] unnecessary. I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage. But when you start playing around with constitutions, just to prohibit somebody who cares about another person, it just seems to me that's not what America's about. Usually, our constitutions expand liberties, they don't contract them.
On a related note, the New York Times this Saturday ran an article highlighting the differences between Obama and rival John McCain's same-sex marriage opposition. While Obama's motivated more by religious elements, McCain's a victim of his time. Writes Patrick Healy:
As a Christian he is a member of the United Church of Christ Mr. Obama believes that marriage is a sacred union, a blessing from God, and one that is intended for a man and a woman exclusively, according to these supporters and Obama campaign advisers. While he does not favor laws that ban same-sex marriage, and has said he is open to the possibility that his views may be misguided,he does not support it and is not inclined to fight for it, his advisers say.
Senator John McCain also opposes same-sex marriage, but unlike Mr. Obama's, his position is influenced by generational and cultural experiences rather than a religious conviction, McCain advisers say.

When do we ALL give up? I haven't... Yet.
One of the few things I've seen anger Jon Stewart was the claim during the 2008 elections that there were no "Real Americans" in certain areas mainly for him, New York City. I blogged on the anniversary of 9/11 of MY experience. It was horrible. It was like sleepwalking through a nightmare. I can't BEGIN to know what the horror was like for the people in New York. I know that in the rubble and horror and death and destruction the people in this country united like they never have in my lifetime. There was a surge in patriotism, faith, love, marriage, and tolerance. We were fired up to seek revenge and we went into war.
I just finished reading a book on my daughter's list of required reading. The Kite Runner. I've been confused with our relationships with the Middle East. I had to print up a list of the characters of the book and a historical synopsis of the unrest since the 70's. So now that I have the Sunni and the Shiites sorted out. The Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden, I ask myself this:
Umm, so we've been fighting the wrong country for all these years. We should have been in Afghanistan in the first place assuming that you really feel that bombing the hell out of a country is the way to go. It's been MY experience that Republicans LOVE war. In fact Bush and Cheney used false intelligence to take us into Iraq costing us trillions of dollars and lives that we can't begin to put a value on. So exactly what is it that President Obama is doing that the Republicans dislike? We're fighting in the right country now. I gotta say that Bush and Cheney should be imprisoned in my opinion but I'd settle for the Republican Party saying "Oops! Yeah we'll shut up now and listen to the intelligent people now. (Not to be confused with false intelligence.)"
So having any intelligence from the Republican party (forget the tea party, that's not worth mentioning) is a pipe dream. I'm not sure intelligence exists at all in our politicians. I also blogged on voter remorse (Jon Stewart on O'Reilly, remember?). Here's the thing... I voted for Hope and Change. I'm a brave little American and obviously I really could care less what people think of me for it as evidenced by the fact that I'm still a lone voice for President Obama in a sea of freaking conservative idiots in a small town, small minded, state. Now if we had some brave little Americans in places of power... We don't. WE HAVE STUPID PEOPLE!!!!!
Really? We've forgotten the heroes of 9/11? And don't mistake my disdain for the pointless war for ingratitude for our troops. I believe they deserve the best we can give them. You know it's the benefits all the stupid politicians get.

Not why I had kids but and added perk!
So, I'm really not fond of my family. Honestly, when my mom passes away, I could care less if I ever see any of them again.
I love my kids and that's good enough for me. They are what is right with the world!

Rick Sanchez
So CNN correspondent was fired from CNN for calling Jon Stewart a bigot not to mention a bunch of crazy stuff about Jews in general. 'kay, I'm pretty sure Jon Stewart wouldn't be overly upset at the ridiculous tirade.
It's odd that CNN was able to look past this:
Fox News certainly wasn't overly concerned when Glenn Beck called President Obama a reverse racist. However they are starting to feel some tension that their prize pony showing signs of mad cow disease (some of us ALWAYS saw the signs.) No one in their right mind would want Beck as their mascot, but he's in the right place for wrong minds, isn't he now?

It's odd that CNN was able to look past this:
On December 10, 1990, Sanchez struck a drunken pedestrian, Jeffrey Smuzinick, with his car on a residential street near Dolphin Stadium (then known as Joe Robbie Stadium) and left the scene, returning two hours later.[11] Smuzinick was paralyzed and eventually died in an assisted living facility on November 2, 1995.[12] Sanchez had just left the NFL football game between the Miami Dolphins and the Philadelphia Eagles with his father when the accident occurred. Police breathalyzer results determined that Sanchez's blood alcohol level was above the legal limit for driving. He was not charged with causing the accident, but was charged with and pleaded no contest to driving under the influence (DUI)
