Update to Trump Era Newcomers
Until I understand this EU Cookie law better I will leave Google's complimentary notice that this blog uses Blogger and Google cookies. These include Google Analytics and AdSense cookies.
Also, I feel that I should warn that this blog was started in the style of and in response to the toxic commentary of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. I don't mince words and the people who cannot see common sense in my words or are deliberately uninformed may not like the way I express myself. I moderate comments because I have had stalkers that posted filth in response to my religion. I'm not afraid to post conflicting opinion comments but I filter threats and inappropriate language comments.
This comes in response to the Trump Era. May it be shorter than 4 years. =)

Karmaggendon
Does karma exist? Glenn Beck has Covid 19 AGAIN! He's been antivax while infected twice. He's following his veterinarian's advice getting his ivermectin and his hydroxychloroquin. He's even taken some of the monoclonal antibodies that could have been used on someone who actually followed the CDC, and the common sense God gave a fish. I'm sure Glenn Beck has been drinking his own urine for years! I don't know if Glenn Beck will live to have Covid a third time. I AM pretty sure that Darwin was on to something.
Let's Go Darwin!!!

Trump-ets Are Calling Me Back
Should I comply?
Should I return to my rants on the injustice and insanity of the GOP circus and the current clowning chief?
The voices in my head say YES! Yes, I should come back and speak to the irony of “The Law and Order” President and his tangle of Sex, Lies, and Video/audiotapes.
I think I am back. Who will notice? 😈

Orange Is The New Black
It's almost a month into the stunning blow dealt to the entire world that I refer to as the Great Trump Mistake. Clearly Stupid People made themselves heard at the polls and I blame my own party. Where were you??? How did we end up with the second most unstable dictator? (I'm being optimistic that he's NOT more insane and unbalanced than North Korea's infantile hissy fit in a fat suit know as Kim Jung Un)
So at this time we are being shocked by a series of over 20 ego fueled executive orders and vows ranging to a giant wall that we will build and Mexico will reimburse us for. If you believe this, I have a bridge I'll sell you but sadly many of my readers will take me serious on that. I own no bridges... We have the travel ban on Muslims that has thus far been found unconstitutional but Trump has dismissed this by dismissing the judges as "unworthy" His words: "So called judges". He has promised to "Drain The Swamp" getting rid of useless politicians in DC. I would agree if he was talking term limits but he's not. He's instead found a group of ethically challenged 1% ers to fill his cabinet. Remember Obama having problems giving up the Blackberry? Trump has given up NOTHING. He throws daily tantrums, spouting nonsensical disses on Twitter as if he was the most popular girl in middle school. Remember Obama having problems adjusting to the people guarding him and the fact he couldn't drive? Turns out that the White House is a downgrade. Our country will be ruled by our Orange Menace from his gilded penthouse of Trump Tower. No Camp David, dignitaries will be feted at Trump's resort Mar A Lago. All of this requires extra guards and secret service. Guess who pays for that? Anyone?? Yes, gentle reader, you are correct if you guessed it would be you. It could be argued that Trump prepaid for all of this by taxes on his billion dollar taxes over the last 20 or so years. Wait, what? He doesn't have to release his tax info? Why? He already admitted to not paying taxes for 20 years. And yet he won... He was caught on tape admitting to adultery and grabbing women's pu$$ie$ without permission. Did that give America pause? Nope. He has ZERO experience in politics which was a huge accusation of the unfitness of our former junior senator/community organizer President Obama. Irony? O. Henry wouldn't be able to make this stuff up.
So I hate typing and there's so many things to rant about that has happened in the election and continues to happen daily. I promise to try to blog daily. Perhaps I will leave you with something happy. I will try different ideas. Like a fortune cookie? But understand this, I don't consider the Stupid People to be only Republicans. If you believed this snake oil peddler during his campaigned, you are a Stupid Person. If you are dem and you didn't vote because you hated Hillary or was mad that Bernie dropped out? Stupid People. If you voted third party or wrote someone in? SP. Mostly I see the shame belonging to my own party. So don't feel that I am overly biased. I AM biased but Stupid has no color, religion, political party, race, or country. Stupid is everywhere.

Back to copycat recipes.
Here's some from Starbucks
PF Changs but I'm looking for an excellent hot and sour soup. So if a viewer sees a great one please let me know. :)
I long ago learned how make some salads along with some other good stuff from Applebee's.
More tomorrow. I'm sleepy :)

15 Minutes
Reality shows are taking over regular TV with real actors. I'm guilty of contributing to the ratings of a few of them, but some of them bring to mind the time of yore, when freak shows were a thing. Where people who suffered from horrible genetic or accidental abnormalities were exploited for the cheap entertainment of the public. Or public executions... Who actually went to those? And took their children??? Anyway, one of the most famous reality stars on TV right now is Kim Kardashian and her family. Kim found fame by making a sex tape that went public, which begs the question: what happened to shame? How does an empire get built on an act that is intimate and (allegedly) private? Kim is on her 3rd husband now days, the illustrious, vainglorious, narcissistic, self proclaimed god, Kanye West. Kanye is a stupid person who actually wields some power. In the VMA's last year, Kanye droned on forever about how wonderful (and stoned) he is, with long moments of awkward silence where he soaked up the approval of the cheering audience. He ended it with an announcement that in 2020 he would be running for president of the United States. This would be funny if we weren't on the brink of the most horrifying presidential race in history, thanks to Donald Trump. We know Donald, not so much for his business acumen, but for his outrageous life, personality, and TV reality show which fostered his apparent God complex. When he threw his hat in the ring, I laughed at the ridiculousness of the idea. Now he is the GOP's presidential candidate. I'm not laughing anymore. It truly could happen. Our founding fathers couldn't have predicted that we would ever sink so low.
The other issue that has become commonplace in America is mass shootings. It's not that it hasn't always happened, but not like this. Maybe it seems worse because of the ease of technology to get the news out. When an incident happens, we know about it almost immediately. In some cases, we can even watch the carnage because someone was quick to film it with their cellphone. If you follow the trend of mass shootings in recent years, in America, the numbers are staggering. Just today, in Washington state, three people were killed and one injured in a shooting. I was going to try to find an estimate of shootings since Columbine but the information on the database is staggering: Gun Violence Archive.
So what is this post about? Our lack of respect for the values we were raised with. The disregard of respect for a life. The moral bankruptcy of some aspects of reality television. The loss of love for our country and who we vote for to lead and represent us. It's about what some people will do for their 15 minutes of fame.

To Blog or not to Blog...
I lost steam along the way on pretty much life in general. I started a treatment of IV Ketamine treatments once a week. No long term help for the pain but the hour I'm in and out and about an hour afterwards, it's pure pain free vacation time for me. It's a little Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds-esce. I have to block out all sound because I can easily freak out. Other patients freak me out. So I discovered music that makes me think, really helps. I have to be careful because music can make me feel waves of terror. Recently I used the song called Scotland (Reign Theme) by the Lumineers*. Love the song but the drums, drugs and darkness was a bad match. It's helping me cope. I have given up on life but this makes me feel much better.
*Youtube video for Scotland
The treatments make me feel very existentialist. How much does my presence mean in this world? That kind of thing. So more on that in upcoming posts.
Also look forward to my resolve on whether or not to get involved in the elections again. I swore not to do it again after I saw history be made with the first African American President. God bless him. He's not had it easy. But I have my eye on shattering a glass ceiling. The Republicans are making it way too easy. Huckabee's open support of Josh Duggar in the child molesting case. Jeb Bush "mishears" a question leading to his support of the war crimes of his brother and that evil little troll Dick Cheney. Then we have Rand Paul. The man is a ticking timebomb... Let's hope the Liberal candidates, pop some popcorn and let them self destruct. I love Bernie Sanders but his place is in congress. So Hillary has my vote this election
Fun times, ladies and gents.

Today's Obsession: Copycat Recipes
Still not on my laptop, so I can't bookmark pages. I can't find the home page of this blog but it has a menu of copycatted menus down the side. I was originally looking for a recipe for a local Hibachi restaurant's salad dressing but no can find. I'll try out Benihana's which is, long story short, why my link will go to the Benihana menu :D

Joy vs. Happiness
Joy is the most infallible sign of the
presence of God. — Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (But I heard it from
Stephen Colbert, when it struck a chord for me.)
Stephen was on Oprah and he spoke of the time between ages 10-18 coming to terms with the death of his father and two brothers in an airplane crash. He said it was like having a secret identity, like a name that no one else could pronounce. I so get this. I have for most of my life been an open book. But my secret identity came 10 years ago in the form of a headache. It is something so innately a part of me that I can't even describe it. Not the pain or the depression. Not the part of me that has been slowly eaten away. Nor the fact that it deserves it's own name but in 10 years I've been unable to christen something I hate and resent so badly.
Happiness isn't hard for me but my moments of joy are like treasures in a box. There's not an unlimited supply and where they came from is not always there to share them with me anymore. My family is the greatest source of joy and I feel that they have been cheated the most. I HATE this headache more on their behalf than the pain it gives me. I find joy in the things that I discover that I love. Lately that is Korean dramas. It would rightly be called an obsession but it's my latest thin tether to sanity and I actually learning the language so YAY!!!
My friends intrigue me. I make friends easily and find that people are very accepting of my prickly personality. Why do some stay and why do some find it easy to throw it away. My most quality friendship that is the most valuable and still valid began at age 15. I was mean to her first. Terribly mean. I along with another friend bullied her and I've asked forgiveness so many times that it angers her. She says she's forgiven and forgotten and I haven't. Maybe so.. But being cruel is not something I forget. Recently I was unfriended on Facebook by someone who sort of mattered to me. I was surprised. I don't see her as a reason, a season, or a lifetime. More like a mistake. That being said, I give you a poem to ponder:
Reason, Season, or Lifetime
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
Theprayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Where are my political rants?
I'm still campaigning for President Obama but it's been a LOT easier this time because so in Mitt Romney. I haven't needed the catharsis of the Patch as much as I did before and I have taken on new projects that keep me astonishingly busy. But I had to share a little levity about my favorite demographic:
Happy Autumn to those of you who still check in. I will try to do better.
