SALT LAKE CITY 12 March 2010 In a letter to be read in all U.S. congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the First Presidency urged Mormons to participate in the 2010 United States Census:First Presidency On Census
"The United States Constitution mandates that a census be counted every ten years. This census is used to determine the makeup of state legislatures, local school boards, and other government bodies and to determine how many seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives. The Church also uses census data for planning purposes.
"The Census Bureau will soon deliver census questionnaires to every household in America. We urge all members to respond to them in an accurate and timely manner. It is an important obligation for all citizens to be counted in the census."
One of the best tools in furthering genealogy is the census records. The LDS church has one of the best genealogy databases in the world.
But Glenn Beck says:
"Today they are asking the race question to try to increase slavery. Your dependence on the master in Washington. No way, don’t answer that question."

Glenn Beck is putting himself at odds with the LDS church so often and so thoroughly that one wonders when and how he will be dealt with. He's published 5 New York Times Best Selling books, 2 on his faith/conversion and 3 on his politics that becomes more radical everyday. Should he be asked to cease and desist making the members of the LDS church look like cracked out lunitics, which one will he give up. I'm betting he drops his "faith" in a New York minute. His political stunts are far more lucrative.
