Obama has infuriated the gay community and many liberals for asking Reverend Rick Warren to give the invocation at his innauguration. They feel it's a mockery to give someone who doesn't agree with his beliefs a 2 and a half minute platform at the most important night in this history making election. Ok first off, do you all comprehend what reaching across the aisle means??? Second, he'll be talking to God, do you all think that God's opinion revolves around Rick Warren and third, I agree. It was a bad choice. He should have chosen a Mormon!!!!
How hilarious would THAT have been???
Update to Trump Era Newcomers
Until I understand this EU Cookie law better I will leave Google's complimentary notice that this blog uses Blogger and Google cookies. These include Google Analytics and AdSense cookies.
Also, I feel that I should warn that this blog was started in the style of and in response to the toxic commentary of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. I don't mince words and the people who cannot see common sense in my words or are deliberately uninformed may not like the way I express myself. I moderate comments because I have had stalkers that posted filth in response to my religion. I'm not afraid to post conflicting opinion comments but I filter threats and inappropriate language comments.
This comes in response to the Trump Era. May it be shorter than 4 years. =)

Bipartisanship went out with the Reagan Era.
It is he who brought forth a new and stealthy intolerance upon the land. The new conservatism, they called it. Our old, cold, mad, feary, feathered, fascist, father-figure from Hell.
I watched a movie with my kids yesterday called "The Others." In the movie Nicole Kidman is teaching her children and one of them reads a passage where it tells about a decree going out from the king that anyone who believed in Christ would get their heads chopped off. The little girl giggled and her mother was appalled. She wondered what was funny and the little girl said "If they asked me if I believed, I would lie and say no, but in my heart I would know that I did believe" Her mother was angry and told her that children who lie go to childs limbo one of the four parts of Hell. Later the girl tells her mom that someone is in the house and her mother thinks she's lying and punishes her for 4 days for not denying that she knew there was someone in the house. Finally the mother discovers that there IS someone in the house and she goes back to ask the girl who has now effectively learned that if lie, you don't get your head chopped off.
I tend to believe that too many Republicans believe in the angry vengeful God. Or maybe they just use him as an excuse to judge what is moral so it suits them.
Yeah, it suits them fine. Meanwhile, who's minding the store?
The REAL answer: Cheney.
The Republican answer: Satan.
Same diff.
